The Department of Lands and Surveys has released data outlining property transactions involving domestic (Cypriot) buyers, EU nationals, and non-EU nationals.
Property sales in December 2025 increased by 24% compared with the same month in 2024, contributing to Cyprus’ strongest annual sales performance since the 2007 peak and its third-best year overall since 2000.
Throughout 2025, domestic purchasers completed 10,859 transactions, representing 59.9% of all sales. EU nationals submitted 2,446 contracts, accounting for 13.5% of the total, while buyers from outside the EU were accounted for 4,809 sales, or 26.5%.
According to the Department’s figures, international interest continues to play an increasingly significant role in shaping the property market.
Across the full year, sales to local buyers rose by 13%, while transactions involving overseas purchasers increased by 16%. Deals by EU nationals grew by 28%, and those by non-EU nationals climbed by 11% compared with 2024, with every district registering growth.
