Cyprus property sales (Jan. - July, 2022) show the best number since 2008.

For the period from January to July 2022, the Department of Land Registry of Cyprus executed 7481 real estate sale transactions. According to StockWatch, this is the best number for the last 14 years.

Limassol leads with 2559 property sale agreements registered within the first seven months of 2022. Nicosia is the second in the list with 1638 transactions, Paphos (1570) is the third. Next comes Larnaca with 1345 contracts. In the free territories of Famagusta (Ayia Napa, Paralimni and Protaras) 369 transactions were registered.

During the seven months of 2022, 58% of real estate (4338 properties) were purchased by Cypriots and 42% (3143 properties) by foreigners.

Compared to January-July 2021, the number of sales to local buyers grew by 20.1%, to foreign buyers - 79.3%.

Both locals and buyers from abroad choose property in Cyprus not only for living, but also for investment.
