Cyprus remains the 14th most powerful passport globally in the 2026

Cyprus Passport remains the 14th most powerful passport globally in the 2026 Henley Passport Index, holding the same position as last year, according to data published on 15 January.

The latest index shows that Cypriot passport holders can travel to approximately 174 destinations without a visa or with visa-on-arrival, securing the country’s place in the higher ranks of global mobility.

Cyprus’ standing was unchanged this year, indicating stability in contrast to the more notable shifts seen among other nations.

Singapore continues to lead the index, providing access to 192 destinations. Japan and South Korea follow jointly in second place with 188 destinations, with several European states close behind.

The UK saw the largest annual drop, losing visa-free access to eight destinations, while the United States has experienced a longer-term decline, slipping from fourth to tenth since its peak.
